During Saturday afternoon we have a number of helpful and practical seminars happening, which will complement the main sessions and provide spaces for you to hear from seasoned leaders and allow Jesus to speak into your life.
You do not need to register for seminars and locations will be advertised at Cause.
Jesus at the Door
(Nottingham City Centre)
5 years after beating addiction, Scott launched into full-time Evangelism at Causeway Coast Vineyard Church.
Scott took to the streets and as he shared the Gospel, the Holy Spirit poured out His power. Jesus At The Door was born. Thousands have since come to Christ through this simple gospel-driven model.
Criminals, ex-cons, drug dealers, gang leaders and notoriously violent men and women have found a family in Scott and Jaye’s new believers’ group, The GodSquad. Over 300 of these ‘strangers from the street’ have settled in a Church family.
Join Scott as he goes out on to the streets of Nottingham for the duration of both seminar sessions to invite people into a relationship with Jesus.
2.30pm – 3.30pm
Planting churches in a waiting world
Nathan Gilbert, Hetal and Tomas Knowlson, Kath and Jamie Brayford, and Paul Cruchley
The Vineyard is a church planting movement and we believe one of the most effective ways of reaching a waiting world is by planting churches. Come and hear from a panel of people who have led or joined church plants as they share from their experiences and answer your questions. Nathan and Ruth Gilbert moved from Nottingham as part of the team planting Cardiff Vineyard in 2008. After serving as Associate Pastors for five years they felt God call them back home to Falmouth to plant a Vineyard church in 2018. Hetal and Tomas Knowlson met at Trent Vineyard in 2014 and in 2016 felt God speak to them about moving to Manchester to be part of the church plant. They now support the church plant in a number of different ministry areas alongside working part-time in the NHS. Paul Cruchley is one of the Site Pastors at Vineyard Church Cardiff. He also oversees worship and the Leadership Year in Cardiff and works as part of the Church Planting team for the Vineyard movement. He spent a number of years working in the corporate world and then running his own business before working for the church.

A Waiting Generation
Susie Aldridge and Zeke Rink
We believe that your peers and the younger generation are waiting for you to step up, invest in them and live the life Jesus intended for you to live. However, so often there are obstacles in the way, and we can find ourselves preoccupied with the wrong stuff. What does Jesus have to say about investing in others when we are surrounded by a society and culture that is so often focused on self?
Decisions and discernment
(Youth Centre Auditorium)
We all have decisions to make some small and some big. We have no lack of choices. But how do we make them; how can we tell what is good, better or best for our lives? Are we to be our own master? Can I trust my own feelings and desires? What does Jesus have to say? What role does community play? How do I know any decision is the right decision? All of these questions and their answers influence our discernment. Mystics, authors, preachers, theologians and plumbers for thousands of years have wondered, “How should we discern the heart of God for our lives.” We will briefly explore this rather large area of thought, and take a bit of time to practice some practical tools of discernment. Michael Munson is the Vineyard training and Spiritual Direction coordinator for VCUKI. He and his wife grew up in Minnesota, USA where they were on staff at a Vineyard church before moving to Birmingham to take on this current role. Michael is also a trained coach and spiritual director.
