Date My Mate
Think your mate is a catch? Think they deserve their moment in the spotlight? Ready to become the ultimate wingman or wingwoman? Or maybe you’ve got a mate who you reckon would give you the best pitch ever! Whatever the case, we want to hear from you!
Could You Be On Date My Mate?
To be eligible, you need to tick all three boxes:
Are you 18 or over?
Are you coming to CTLF 2026?
Do you have a mate who is also coming to CTLF 2026, who can either pitch for you or be the person you pitch for?
If you’ve both said yes to all three, you’re eligible to apply!
How To Apply
Record a short video of the two of you together, answering the following questions:
The introductions: Tell us your names, ages and where you’re from.
The big question: Why do you think you’d be great on Date My Mate?
The pitch: The pitcher needs to tell us one of their mate’s biggest green flags, an interesting habit or hobby, and why they’re such a catch.
The reaction: The mate being pitched needs to respond to their friend’s answers! What do they think? Do they agree, or is there anything they’d like to add?
Can't meet up in person? No problem! The next best option is to record a Zoom call together. If that doesn't work either, you can send us two separate videos.
Keep your video to around 2–3 minutes. Don't worry about making it perfect - we're much more interested in seeing your personalities than your editing skills!
Once you've recorded your video, please email it to charlotte.hamilton@causetolivefor.org.uk, along with your phone number so that we can get in touch.
Deadline: 8th November @ 10pm
We'll be selecting a limited number of participants to feature at Cause, so applying doesn't guarantee a place. If you are successful, you'll need to be available to take part in Date My Mate at CTLF 2026 (evening of Friday 20th November).
We'll let you know by 13 November who has been selected to feature on Date My Mate!
If you're selected, the fun really begins! You'll have one week to prepare your Date My Mate presentation, and we'll send you a selection of prompt questions and creative ideas to help you put together the ultimate pitch for your mate.
In the meantime, get inspired! Check out Date My Mate videos on YouTube, Instagram and TikTok for ideas. Think outside the box, get creative, and have fun with it!

Date My Mate is all about celebrating people, building connections, and having a laugh together.
Make sure your mate is happy to take part! Keep the banter fun, affectionate and respectful - no embarrassing secrets or anything that could make them uncomfortable.
