Collective Consecration
At the Cause to Live For 2023 on the Friday night, after the main session, we entered into a holy moment of consecration, devotion and worship. When Paul Lowe had finished speaking, he invited the Holy Spirit to come, and the room fell silent for about fifteen minutes - a holy awe and reverence was felt as a generation began to behold Jesus and give him their 'yes' again. Young adults began to kneel and repent, our only response being to surrender to Jesus. The overflow of this was a time of sweet, gentle worship that lasted for about an hour and a half - ‘After Hours’ activities were quietly abandoned, as the room fixed their eyes on Jesus and remained in worship.
Being in the room and witnessing the presence of God descend in one space, and having that many people totally captivated by the beauty and majesty of Jesus was truly special. There is nothing like entering his presence, and once we find it, we never want to leave.
We are so encouraged by this generation of worshippers who are hungry for the presence of God and who will surrender their lives to him in response to who he is and all that he has done! God is doing something significant, deep and profound in this generation.
